So here is our first entry in our Smoothie Recipe Of The Week section. Up today is a nutritious raw green smoothie known as Berry Green. Don’t be put off at the thought of raw greens in your smoothies, not only are they super nutritious and health promoting but they aren’t even that rich in taste when you use sweet fruits such as strawberries and grapes.
This is a great introductory raw green smoothie recipe in that not only is it packed with nutrient dense greens but it is very mild in taste also.
Berry Green Smoothie Recipe
Half A Cup Of Water/Coconut Water
Do note that the nutrition values may vary slightly. If using coconut water in place of regular then it will increase the nutrition further especially the values of magnesium, calcium and potassium.
We will be including the nutritional summary(see below) of all our smoothie recipes so you can get an idea how nutritious they really are. The sugars are naturally occurring fructose from fruit and unless you have diabetes or other problems with blood sugar are perfectly fine sources of carbohydrates. This green smoothie recipe is particular is also a great source of phyto-sterols.
